The calculator works using a tiny 'chip' - a microprocessor - inside.- The + button covers two contacts!
- The wiggly gold lines are connected by pressing buttons.
- The black blob in the middle is a protective layer of resin covering the chip. The chip itself is about 1mm square.
Don't forget that if the display goes blank, the calculator has switched itself off. Press the C/AC button to switch it on again.
Of course, a real Casio doesn't make a noise like this one does when the keys are pressed, nor do they change size!
