Until leaving home to go to university I lived in Woolacombe which is a well known surfing beach in North Devon. I competed until the age of about 18 in both and local and national contests, representing my local surf club numerous times in the National Inter Clubs. I still regularly surf when I get the chance and occasionally compete in local contests for fun.
