About

emmaJI am an interaction designer with the real desire is to design technologies that better meet the needs of users through the use of user centred design methods. Whilst having worked on a wide range of projects I have experience gathering and analysing users needs using methods such as semi-structured interviews, focus groups, lab studies and field studies. My experience ranges from conducting studies in settings such as lab based environments, within local communities and spans to gathering observational data at archaeology field sites.

I completed my PhD in the Future Interaction Technology Lab at Swansea University. My research involved engaging users in the design of novel technologies that could further support researchers in their day to day research. Through using user centred design methods, a collection of mobile and wearable devices were designed and developed to support researchers in a variety of research settings.
