Active Perl

I installed active perl.
I went to the free Standard Distribution.

There I downloaded the MSI, AS package and Symbols

For MSI there wsa a windows installer which did everything,
  all I had to take care of that everything was installed in the right place
  (could be specified).
For AS package, the automatic installation only created a zip file in temporary internet files which
  popped up.
  (temporary internet files ended in 
   C:\Documents and Settings\csetzer\Local Settings\Temporary Internat Files\Content.IE5\U5AF8N8X\blablabla)
One had in the file manager under Tools -> FolderOptions -> View 
  to select show hidden files, otherwise this folder was not visible.

I unziped it and then found a Setup.bat file (or something like this), which I then executed.
 There was a command shell guiding me through this.

For Windows I got a directory with a bin and a lib directory,
I didn't know what to do and moved it to a directory Symbols in the perl
directory where everything else was installed.



I assume AS packages is the only package we needed.
